City Health Officer Dr. Maria Sarah B. Talla reports that there are 10 active COVID cases following the report of 5 new cases with 1 recovery, Tuesday.
Dumaguete City has 10 active cases; 452 recoveries and 29 deaths as of March 16, 2021.
The 5 COVID cases are: a 46-year-old male employee of provincial COMELEC, who had no known exposure or history of travel; 62-year-old businesswoman from Barangay Calindagan, who was exposed to her husband (a COVID positive case); an 86-year-old woman from Barangay Junob, who was exposed to a COVID positive case, referred to a hospital due to fall and loss of appetite; a 25-year-old male DPWH employee from Barangay Taclobo with no known exposure but had lost sense of taste and smell and a 33-year-old nurse of a hospital also of Barangay Taclobo with no known exposure but lost sense of smell and taste.
All the actives cases are quarantined including their 19 known close contacts from Barangays Bagacay, Taclobo, Junob, Daro, Looc and Bantayan.
