A 61-year-old grandmother was discharged from the hospital today after she was already cleared of COVID-19 by her attending doctor.
However, a 62-year-old retired jail officer is the newly confirmed case in Dumaguete City as reported by the City Health Officer Dr. Maria Sarah B. Talla also today.
Hence, there are 8 active COVID cases, 445 recoveries and 29 deaths since the pandemic affected the city from January 30, 2020 to March 11, 2021.
All of the 8 active cases and their close contacts remain in isolation until they test negative in the swab RT-PCR or released from hospitals.
Meanwhile, 8 Persons Under Monitoring (PUMs) were released from isolation today after they completed the 14-day quarantine period without showing symptoms of Influenza Like Illness or ILI.
Only 1 of the 70 PUMs seen and examined by the City Health workers manifested symptoms of Influenza Like Illness (ILI) while under quarantine.
