Senior high and college students who will apply for summer jobs can inquire before their respective Sangguniang Kabataan Chairpersons for possible inclusion in the Special Program for Employment of Students (SPES) funded by the City Government and the Department of Labor and Employment.
SK President Renz Macion and Public Employment Service Office Manager Socorro P. Mira convened all the SK Chairpersons yesterday to discuss the partnership in the implementation of SPES.
Mayor Felipe Antonio Remollo has increased the number of summer job beneficiaries to 300 so that more students can be included in the program that will allow them to earn this summer and use their wages to pay for their tuition fees during enrollment.
PESO Manager Mira said that the SK Chairpersons will monitor the performance of the beneficiaries.
Applicants will be interviewed by PESO in the barangays this summer. The student-beneficiaries will work in the clean and green projects of their respective barangays.
