The City’s Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases reported 2 COVID recoveries and 2 new cases as of Wednesday.
Hence, since the pandemic affected the city from January 30, 2020 to March 10, 2021 there now only 8 active cases; 444 recoveries and 29 deaths.
City Health Officer Dr. Sarah B. Talla said that the 2 recoveries were: 21-year-old male student from Barangay Banilad and the 49-year-old businessman, a Locally Stranded Individual from Cebu City but a resident of Barangay Piapi.
Meanwhile, the 2 new COVID cases are: the 22 year-old female LSI from Cebu City, who was intercepted for traveling without documents and the 55-year-old resident of Barangay Batinguel and a clerk of the Hall of Justice, who was admitted for symptoms of Influenza Like Illness.
Twelve (12) Persons Under Monitoring (PUMs) are under strict isolation as they are known contacts of a COVID-19 positive case in Barangays Daro, Banilad, Buñao, Bantayan, Mangnao, Bagacay, Junob, Camanjac, Pulantubig and Batinguel.
In contrast, 25 PUMs completed today the 14-day quarantine without any medical incident, thus cleared to rejoin their families.
