There are now just 7 active COVID-19 cases in the city following the recovery of 2 patients and report of 1 new COVID case, Tuesday.
The 2 recoveries today are: the female doctor from Poblacion 6,who was exposed to a COVID case and the 25-year-old male resident of Barangay Bagacay with symptoms of Influenza Illness.
On the other hand, the lone COVID case recorded today is the 41-year-old female hospital staff who sought admission at a hospital with symptom of ILI. Nine (9) of her close contacts are quarantined.
Thus, since the pandemic affected the city from January 30, 2020 to March 6, 2021 the city has 7 active COVID cases, 442 recoveries and 29 deaths.
Dr. Talla also informed Mayor Felipe Antonio Remollo, Chairperson of the City’s Inter-Agency Task Force on Emerging Infectious Diseases, that 25 of the 30 barangays have no more active COVID cases as of Saturday.
The remaining 7 active COVID cases in the 5 barangays are all isolated in the hospitals and other facilities until they shall all recover from the virus.
The barangays with residents who are among the 7 active cases are: Bajumpandan (1), Banilad (1), Bantayan (1), Batinguel (2), Camanjac (1) and Pulantubig (1).
Meanwhile, the 24 barangays with no active COVID cases are: Bagacay, Balugo, Buñao, Cadawinonan, Calindagan, Candau-ay, Cantil-e, Daro, Junob, Looc, Mangnao, Motong, Piapi, Poblacion 1, Poblacion 2, Poblacion 3, Poblacion 4, Poblacion 5, Poblacion 6, Poblacion 7, Poblacion 8, Tabuctubig, Taclobo and Talay.
