The City’s Inter-Agency Task Force on Emerging Infectious Diseases confirms today that no new COVID-19 positive cases were reported as of Monday.
An 84-year-old resident of Barangay Batinguel, admitted due to COVID-19, was already released from hospital and is considered to have recovered today.
City Health Officer Dr. Maria Sarah B. Talla informed Mayor Felipe Antonio Remollo, Chairperson of the City’s Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases, that there are 8 active COVID cases, 440 recoveries and 29 deaths since the COVID-19 pandemic affected the City from January 30, 2020 to March 8, 2021.
Meanwhile, 1 foreigner from Siquijor was quarantined today in the designated isolation facility also today.
On the other hand, 4 PUMs were released today after they completed the mandatory 14-day quarantine without showing any signs and symptoms of ILI.
None of the 84 PUMs seen and examined by the City Health workers manifested symptoms ILI while under quarantine.
