About 5, 000 disposable protective face masks were shipped to Dumaguete City from the sister city of Yeongdong-gun County in South Korea to be used by the city COVID-19 frontliners.
Mayor Felipe Antonio Remollo expresses his gratitude to Yeongdong Mayor Park Se-bok and his citizens for their gesture of solidarity as both governments are working industriously to manage the COVID-19 pandemic.
City Health Officer Dr. Maria Sarah B. Talla received the protective face masks (on behalf of the health workers and frontliners) along with Assistant City Administrator Dr. Dinno T. Depositario and City Tourism Officer Jacqueline V. Antonio.
Mayor Park Se-bok and Mayor Remollo recently had a zoom meeting to give updates on their local situations, strengthen the friendship ties between the sister cities and to pursue mutual cooperation for the two cities in the field of education, sports, security, tourism, economy, culture and the arts.
