The number of active COVID-19 cases has dropped to 10 following the recoveries of 5 patients with 1 new case reported, Thursday.
City Health Officer Dr. Maria Sarah B. Talla provided the profiles of the 5 COVID patients who recovered: 61-year-ol father of a COVID positive case from Barangay Daro; 81-year-old senior citizen from Barangay Camanjac; 33-year-old seafarer from Barangay Cadawinonan; the 23-year-old female BPO employee with symptoms of Influenza Like Illness and the 76-year housewife both from Barangay Pulantubig.
The lone COVID-19 case reported today is the 58-year-old self-employed male resident of Bajumpandan with symptoms of Influenza Like Illness (ILI).
City Health Officer Dr. Maria Sarah B. Talla said that there are currently 10 active cases; 436 recoveries and 29 deaths from January 30, 2020 to March 4, 2021.
Dr. Talla disclosed that the 10 active COVID cases are residents of Barangays Bagacay (1), Bajumpandan (1), Banilad (1), Bantayan (1), Batinguel (2), Camanjac (1), Junob (2), Poblacion 6 (1).
Meanwhile, 5 Persons Under Monitoring (PUMs) were released from isolation today after they completed the 14-day quarantine period without showing symptoms of Influenza Like Illness or ILI.
Of the 5 new PUMs: 4 are close contacts of the COVID positive case in Barangay Barangay Bajumpandan and Barangay Bagacay and 1 pregnant woman with symptoms of ILI from Barangay Taclobo.
None of the PUMs seen and examined by the City Health workers manifested symptoms of Influenza Like Illness (ILI) while under quarantine.
