The City’s Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases chaired by Mayor Felipe Antonio Remollo reports that the City Health Office has conducted a total of 5, 248 COVID-19 tests on all those who were quarantined since May 2020 to March 1, 2021 as Persons Under Monitoring or PUMs.
Based on the statistics of the City Health Office: 2, 270 of these were RT-PCR swab tests; 957 swab antigen tests and 2, 021 Rapid Diagnostic Tests.
Among those who were tested are Locally Stranded Individuals, Returning Overseas Filipinos, OFWs, APORs, Persons with symptoms of Influenza Like Illness (ILI) and those who were exposed to COVID positive cases.
Of the 2, 270 RT-PCR swab tests done about 219 or 9.64% were confirmed to be COVID-19 cases while 14 of those who underwent swab antigen tests were reactive with 5 of the individuals eventually tested positive in the follow-up swab RT-PCR examination.
Mayor Remollo commended all the doctors, nurses, medical technologists, health workers and other frontliners for their diligence and best efforts in preventing the spread of COVID-19 pandemic.
As of March 2, 2021 there are 14 active COVID -19 cases; 428 recoveries and 29 deaths.
