City Health Officer Dr. Maria Sarah B. Talla disclosed that the active COVID-19 cases in the city remains at 14 following the report of 3 additional cases with 3 recoveries, Wednesday.
Thus, since the pandemic affected the city from January 30, 2020 to March 3, 2021 the city has 14 active COVID cases, 428 recoveries and 29 deaths.
And since Tuesday, about 209 Persons Under Monitoring (PUMs) who were asymptomatic were released from the different isolation facilities by the City Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Infectious Diseases in accordance to the new protocols of the National IATF.
The 3 new COVID cases are: the 21-year-old male student from Barangay Banilad who was swabbed prior to travel; 84-year-old female senior citizen from Barangay Batinguel, who was admitted due to fever and the 61-year-old woman from Barangay Camanjac also admitted with symptoms of Influenza Like Illness.
Meanwhile, the 3 new recoveries are the 43-year-old housemaid and the 21-year-old daughter of NEGOR-COV 1439 from Barangay Cantil-e and the 49-year-old doctor from Barangay Junob.
There are only 89 PUMs, who remain under quarantine to include OFWs, ROFs, those with symptoms of ILI and individuals exposed to COVID positive cases.
None of the PUMs seen and examined by the City Health workers manifested symptoms of Influenza Like Illness (ILI) while under quarantine.
