The number of active COVID-19 cases has dropped to 72 following the recoveries of 5 patients and the confirmation of 1 additional case with 1 death, Wednesday.
From January 30, 2020 to February 3, 2021 the city has had a total of 411 COVID-19 cases: 72 active; 317 recovered and 22 deaths.
City Health Officer Dr. Maria Sarah B. Talla reports that the 72 active COVID cases are residents of Barangays Bagacay (2), Bajumpandan (2), Balugo (2), Banilad (2), Bantayan (4), Batinguel (4), Buñao (2), Cadawinonan (1), Calindagan (3), Camanjac (4) Candau-ay (9), Cantil-e (3), Daro (4), Junob (7), Mangnao (2), Motong (3), Piapi (4), Poblacion 1 (1), Poblacion 2 (1), Pulantubig (2), Tabuc-tubig (2) and Taclobo (8).
Meanwhile, 23 Persons Under Monitoring (PUMs) were released from isolation today after they completed the 14-day quarantine period without showing symptoms of Influenza Like Illness or ILI.
Of the 18 new Persons Under Monitoring: 8 are close contacts of new COVID positive cases in Barangays Mangnao and Cantil-e; 6 APORs from General Santos City, Cebu and Bacolod City and 4 Locally Stranded Individuals from Tagaytay and Taguig City.
Of the current 517 PUMs: 197 are in designated hotel facilities, 50 are in the community isolation center, while 270 are in the barangay isolation centers.
None of the PUMs seen and examined by the City Health workers manifested symptoms of Influenza Like Illness (ILI) while under quarantine.
