The number of COVID-19 cases increases to 77 following the 12 new confirmed COVID-19 cases along with 3 recoveries as reported Tuesday evening.
All the actives cases are isolated while their known close contacts are quarantined.
City Health Officer Dr. Maria Sarah B. Talla reports that the 67 active COVID cases are residents of Barangays Bagacay (3), Bajumpandan (2), Balugo (2), Banilad (2), Bantayan (5), Batinguel (4), Buñao (2), Cadawinonan (1), Calindagan (3), Camanjac (4) Candau-ay (11), Cantil-e (3), Daro (6), Junob (7), Mangnao (2), Motong (3), Piapi (4), Poblacion 1 (1), Poblacion 2 (1), Pulantubig (2), Tabuc-tubig (1) and Taclobo (8).
From January 30, 2020 to February 2, 2021, the city has had a total of 410 COVID-19 cases: 77 active; 312 recoveries and 21 deaths.
Dr. Talla also informed Mayor Felipe Antonio Remollo, Chairperson of the City’s IATF-MEID that 38 Person Under Monitoring (PUMs) completed today the 14-day quarantine without any medical incident, thus cleared to return to their families.
In contrast, 49 individuals are quarantined beginning today in the different isolation facilities as PUMs.
The 49 new PUMs include: 33 close contacts of COVID positive cases from Barangays Taclobo (6), Banilad (14), Cantil-e (3), Candau-ay (5) and Batinguel (5); APORs from Ilo-ilo and Cebu; 11 Locally Stranded Individuals from Cebu, Iligan, Ilo-ilo and Cavite.
Of the current 521 PUMs: 202 are in designated hotel facilities, 51 are in the community isolation center, while 268 are in barangay isolation centers.
