Several proposed contracts, the PPP Ordinance and complaints for collection of money were discussed in the recent meeting of the Committee on Rules, Ordinances, Legal Matters and Good Governance, chaired by Councilor Michael Bandal along with members Councilors Karissa Tolentino-Maxino and Edgar Lentorio Jr.
The reports of the committee were presented yesterday to the plenary to include:
1. The letter from Atty. Jethro Jed Cadiz (counsel for the heirs of Pal family) requesting for the city to transfer the location of the proposed Construction of evacuation and multi-purpose center and facilities;
2. The proposed Code Pursuing Public Private Partnership (PPP) Towards Development, Providing for the Procedure for Selecting the Private Sector Proponent, Adopting a Contract, Management Framework and Providing Appropriation and for Other Purposes;
3. The City Legal Office manifested that it will handle the complaint against the city for Collection of sum of money;
4. The resolution granting the honorable Mayor the authority to enter into and sign for and in behalf of the City Government the Deed of Absolute Sale of residential house in Barangay Candau-ay that will be affected by the road opening going to Eco-Park and Solid Waste Processing Facility;
5. Renewal of the Contract of Lease for a parcel of land in Barangay Bagacay as temporary relocation site for 26 families who were victims of Typhoon Sendong, and
6. The proposed Contract of Security Services with the Commander Security Services Incorporated to continue providing protection for the City’s official personnel properties, facilities and premises of the year 2021 with comment that there is no pending complaint or issue and the selection is compliant with RA 9184.
