The number of active COVID-19 cases eases to 54 with 5 new COVID cases, the recovery of 3 COVID-19 patients and 1 death reported today.
All the actives cases are quarantined including their known close contacts.
From January 30, 2020 to January 28, 2021, the city has had a total of 372 COVID-19 cases: 54 active; 299 recoveries and 19 deaths.
City Health Officer Dr. Maria Sarah B. Talla informed Mayor Felipe Antonio Remollo, Chairperson of the City’s IATF-MEID that 38 Person Under Monitoring completed today the 14-day quarantine without any medical incident, thus cleared to return to their families.
In contrast, 6 individuals are quarantined beginning today for being exposed to COVID cases in Barangays Daro and Piapi.
The 31 new PUMs include: 1 OFW from Saudi Arabia; 8 workers of PPA and 1 Coast Guard Personnel from Manila; 3 doctors; 19 Locally Stranded Individuals from Manila, Cebu City, Kabankalan City and Cavite.
Of the current 547 PUMs: 237 are in designated hotel facilities, 45 are in the community isolation center, while 265 are in barangay isolation centers.
None of the PUMs seen and examined by the City Health personnel has shown signs and symptoms of ILI.
