City Health Officer Dr. Maria Sarah B. Talla disclosed that the active COVID-19 cases in the city remains at 57 following the report of 5 additional cases with 4 recoveries and 1 death today.
Since the pandemic affected the city from January 30, 2020 to January 25, 2021 a total of 359 COVID-19 cases were recorded: 57 active; 283 recoveries and 19 deaths.

Talla reports that the 57 active COVID cases are residents of Barangays Bagacay (6), Bajumpandan (3), Balugo (1), Banilad (2), Bantayan (1), Batinguel (3), Buñao (2), Cadawinonan (2), Calindagan (3), Candau-ay (3), Cantil-e (1), Daro (3), Junob (2), Looc (3), Mangnao (1), Motong (1), Piapi (3), Poblacion 1 (4), Poblacion 2 (1), Poblacion 3 (1), Poblacion 4 (1), Pulantubig (1), Tabuc-tubig (1) and Taclobo (6).
Of the 14 individuals who begin quarantine today as Persons Under Monitoring include: 1 OFW from Japan; 6 Locally Stranded Individuals from Makati, Sagay, Manila and Cebu City; 1 APOR from Tagbilaran City and 6 close contacts of COVID positive cases in Barangays Cadawinonan, Cantil-e and Calindagan.
On the other hand, 19 PUMs completed the 14-day quarantine without any medical incident, thus cleared to rejoin their families.
Of the current 576 PUMs: 246 are in designated hotel facilities, 62 are in the community isolation center, while 268 are in the barangay isolation centers.
None of the PUMs seen and examined by the City Health workers manifested symptoms of Influenza Like Illness (ILI) while under quarantine.
