The City Health Office confirms today that no new COVID-19 cases were reported and that 3 COVID-19 patients (a businessman and 2 bank employees) have recovered as of Sunday evening.
The 3 COVID-19 recoveries are the 54-year-old businessman from Poblacion 1, the 53-year-old female bank officer from Barangay Taclobo and the 51year-old male bank employee from Barangay Junob.
With this development, City Health Officer Dr. Maria Sarah B. Talla informed Mayor Felipe Antonio Remollo, Chairperson of the City’s Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases, that there are 57 active COVID-19 positive cases, 279 recoveries and 18 deaths as of January 24, 2021.
Meanwhile, 7 Persons Under Monitoring (PUMS) begin their strict and mandatory 14-day quarantine in the designated isolation facilities. Six of the new PUMs are Locally Stranded Individuals from Samar, Leyte, Zamboanga City and Bacolod City and 1 close contact of a COVID case from Dauin.
On the other hand, 97 PUMs were released today after they completed the mandatory 14-day quarantine without showing any signs and symptoms of ILI.
Of the 581 PUMS: 248 are in designated hotel facilities; 63 are in the community isolation center and 270 are in the barangay isolation facilities.
None of the 581 Persons Under Monitoring (PUMs) seen and examined by the City Health workers manifested symptoms of Influenza Like Illness (ILI).
