The composite team from the City Health Office led by Dr. Maria Sarah B. Talla, the Dumaguete City Police, Special Enforcement Unit and other agencies continue to conduct nightly patrols to apprehend violators of the 10:00PM curfew and the health protocols like the mandatory wearing of face masks.
These nightly patrols were ordered by the City’s Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases to prevent mass gatherings and public drinking amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
Violators are warned that they can be fined and imprisoned for defying the local health protocols and curfew. Those apprehended for not wearing face masks will be fined P 3,000 or face jail time.
