Some 78 families from 3 barangays whose homes and fishing boats were damaged by Tropical Depression Vicky received the financial assistance from the City Government, Friday.
Mayor Felipe Antonio Remollo approved the release of P 397, 500 to be distributed to the families whose home or fishing boats were damaged by the flash flood caused by TD Vicky in addition to the relief goods and aid already given to the victims.
The Barangay officials of Poblacion 1 (Tinago) Calindagan and Taclobo assessed and submitted the lists of families whose homes or fishing board were damaged the flash flood last December 18, 2020.
According to City Social Welfare and Development Officer Lilibeth Filipinas each of the 10 families whose homes were totally damaged get P 10, 000; 33 families whose homes were partially damaged get P 5, 000 each; 5 renters get P 2, 500; 7 owners of totally damaged fishing boats get P 5, 000 and 12 owners of partially damaged fishing board get P 2, 500.
