City Health Officer Dr. Maria Sarah B. Talla disclosed 3 new COVID-19 cases and 5 recoveries, Wednesday evening.
The 3 new COVID cases are identified as: the 37-year –old female resident of Barangay Bagacay; the 64-year-old female resident of Barangay Taclobo and the 76-year-old male resident of Barangay Calindagan.
All 3 are confined in the hospitals as their contacts have been isolated.
The 5 recoveries are: the 52-year-old female nurse from Barangay Candau-ay; the 30-year-old female doctor from Barangay Batinguel; the 28-year-old hospital staff from Barangay Motong; the 41-year-old wife of a COVID-case of Barangay Bajumpandan and the 24-year-old male health worker from Barangay Bunao.
Hence, there are now 65 active COVID-19 cases, 157 recoveries and 13 deaths since the pandemic affected the city from January 30, 2020 to January 6, 2021.
Four Persons Under Monitoring are quarantined starting today: 1 Medrep from Bago City, 1 Parole and Probation Officer from Cebu City, 1 OFW from Kuwait and 1 LSI from Bacolod City.
On the other hand, 29 PUMs completed today the 14-day quarantine without any medical incident, thus cleared to return to their families.
Six (6) of the 313 Persons Under Monitoring (PUMs) seen and examined by the City Health workers manifested symptoms of Influenza Like Illness (ILI) while under quarantine.
