The City’s Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases disclosed that there are 55 active COVID-19 cases with the confirmation of 1 COVID-19 case, Sunday.
From January 30, 2020 to January 3, 2021 the city has had a total of 217 COVID-19 cases: 55 active; 150 recovered and 12 deaths.
City Health Officer Dr. Maria Sarah B. Talla reports that the active COVID cases are residents of Barangays Bagacay (1), Bajumpandan (1), Balugo (1), Banilad (1), Batinguel (6), Buñao (1), Cadawinonan (1), Candau-ay (2), Daro (3), Junob (1), Looc (6), Motong (7), Piapi (1), Poblacion 1 (5) Poblacion 3 (2), Poblacion 4 (5) Pulantubig (2) and Taclobo (9). They are all quarantined including their known close contacts.
The 1 new COVID-19 case is identified as NEGOR-COV 915 a 16-year-old female resident of Barangay Cadawinonan who was admitted at NOPH for abdominal pain and fever later manifested ILI symptoms.
Meanwhile, 1 Locally Stranded Individual from Bacolod begin his strict quarantine today.
On the other hand, 23 PUMs completed today the 14-day quarantine without any medical incident, thus cleared to rejoin their families.
Of the current 276 PUMs: 122 are in designated hotel facilities, 37 are in the community isolation center, while 117 are in the barangay isolation centers.
None of the PUMs seen and examined by the City Health workers manifested symptoms of Influenza Like Illness (ILI) while under quarantine.
