The number of COVID-19 cases rises to 39 following the confirmation of 11 additional cases reported today.
Hence, from January 30, 2020 to December 15, 2020 the city has had a total of 129 COVID-19 cases: 39 active; 82 recoveries and 8 deaths.
Meanwhile, City Health Officer Dr. Maria Sarah B. Talla said that 26 Persons Under Monitoring are quarantined in the different isolation facilities starting today.
Specifically, the 26 new PUMs include: 1 OFW from Brazil; 1 government employee from Cebu; 7 Returning Residents from Manila, Cebu City and Bacolod City; 12 Locally Stranded Individuals from Bohol, Lapu-lapu City and Cebu City; 3 COVID patients; 3 known close contacts of NEGOR-COV 767 and 7 close contacts of PUMs who are reactive to antigen.
On the other hand, 73 PUMs completed today the 14-day quarantine without any medical incident, thus cleared to rejoin their families.
Of the current 497 PUMs: 225 are in designated hotel facilities, 39 are in the community isolation center, while 232 are in the barangay isolation centers.
One (1) of the PUMs seen and examined by the City Health workers manifested symptoms of Influenza Like Illness (ILI) while under quarantine.
