Twenty (20) known close contacts of COVID-19 positive cases were quarantined along with 38 other Persons Under Monitoring in the designated isolation facilities.
With the recovery today of 5 COVID-19 patients and 3 additional COVID-19 cases, the city has 40 active cases, 61 recoveries and 6 deaths from January 30, 2020 to December 9, 2020.
City Health Officer Dr. Maria Sarah B. Talla informed Mayor Felipe Antonio Remollo, Chairperson of the City’s Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases, that 47 PUMs were released today after they completed the mandatory 14-day quarantine in the different isolation facilities without showing any signs and symptoms of Influenza Like Illness or ILI.
The 58 new PUMs are: 9 close contacts of NEGOR-COV 711 in Barangay Pulantubig; 10 close contacts of NEGOR-COV 717, 718 and 719 in Barangay Banilad; 1 close contact NEGOR-COV 712 in Barangay Cantil-e; 4 OFWs from UAE, the Netherlands and Singapore; 1 Returning Overseas Filipino from USA; 13 Returning Residents from Manila and Cebu City; 3 Locally Stranded Individuals from Bukidnon; 5 students from Nepal and 12 construction workers in Barangay Junob.
Of the 588 PUMS: 246 are in designated hotel facilities; 53 are in the community isolation center and 289 are in the barangay isolation facilities.
Only 3 of the 588 PUMs seen and examined by the City Health workers manifested ILI symptoms while under quarantine.
