Seventeen (17) more known close contacts of COVID-19 positive cases were quarantined along with 32 other Persons Under Monitoring or PUMs as the comprehensive contact tracing continues.
City Health Officer Dr. Maria Sarah B. Talla informed Mayor Felipe Antonio Remollo, Chairperson of the City’s Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases, 10 PUMs were released today after they completed the mandatory 14-day quarantine in the different isolation facilities without showing any signs and symptoms of Influenza Like Illness or ILI.
Aside from the 17 known close contacts COVID-19 cases, 32 other PUMS begin their strict and mandatory 14-day quarantine in the designated isolation facilities.
The 49 new PUMs are: 1 close contact of NEGOR-COV 647; 4 close contacts of NEGOR-COV 671; 4 close contacts of COVID case from Junob; 1 close contact of NEGOR-COV 672; 2 close contacts of COVID case in Barangay Banilad; 2 close contacts of COVID case in Poblacion 2; 3 close contacts of COVID case in Barangay Junob; 15 OFWs from Dubai, USA, Egypt, Germany, Netherlands and Jeddah Saudi Arabia; 1 Returning Overseas Filipino from USA; 5 Returning Residents from Manila; 10 Locally Stranded Individuals from Parañaque City, Manila, Carcar City, Leyte, Bohol and Cebu City and a priest from Roxas City.
Of the 527 PUMS: 191 are in designated hotel facilities; 77 are in the community isolation center and 259 are in the barangay isolation facilities.
Only 2 of the 527 PUMs seen and examined by the City Health workers manifested ILI symptoms while under quarantine.
