The City’s Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases confirms the recovery of 3 COVID patients today.
However, NEGOR-COV 643 a 46-year-old street sweeper and resident of Barangay Junob died last night while another COVID Positive case was also recorded today and identified as NEGOR-COV 656 the 27-year-old male resident of Barangay Camanjac and a private hospital employee.
From January 30, 2020 to December 2, 2020 there are a total of 79 COVID-19 cases: 35 active, 38 recoveries and 6 deaths.
Meanwhile, City Health Officer Dr. Maria Sarah B. Talla informed Mayor Felipe Antonio Remollo, Chairperson of the City’s Inter-Agency Task Force on Emerging Infectious Diseases, that 45 Persons Under Monitoring or PUMs were released today after they completed the mandatory 14-day quarantine in the different isolation facilities without showing any signs and symptoms of ILI.
In contrast, 26 new PUMS begin their strict and mandatory 14-day quarantine in the designated isolation facilities today.
The 26 new PUMs are: 2 close contacts of NEGOR-COV 644; 1 close contact of NEGOR-COV 596; 3 close contacts of a COVID-19 case from Bacong; 7 OFWs from Kuwait, Qatar, Japan, Norway, Israel, Dubai and Taiwan; 11 Locally Stranded Individuals from Cebu City and Siquijor; 1 person with Influenza Like Illness and 1 newly discharged patient of typhoid fever from SUMC.
Of the 419 PUMS: 208 are in designated hotel facilities; 77 are in the community isolation center and 134 are in the barangay isolation facilities.
Only 2 of the 419 PUMs seen and examined by the City Health workers manifested symptoms of Influenza Like Illness (ILI).
