The City of Dumaguete thru its BIDS AND AWARDS COMMITTEE (BAC), invites all interested manufacturers, suppliers, dealers and/or distributors to apply for eligibility and to submit BIDS for the SUPPLY of:

The lithium ion rechargeable DC Battery is designed for use with the Programmable Robot and features a capacity of 2,050 mAh.
It provides longer run time that AA batteries and can be charged without taking the model apart. The battery is included in the set and has a chargetime of around three to four hours. It requires the DC Charger, which is the same charger as used for the rechargeable DC Battery.

Large Servo Motor (2 pieces)
The Large Servo Motors is powerful motor that uses techno feedback for precise control to within one degree of accuracy. By using the built in rotation sensor, the intelligent motor can be made to align with other motors on the robot so that it can drive in a straight line at the same speed. It can also be used to give an accurate for experiments. The motor case design also makes it easy to assemble gear trains.

The Medium Servo Motor is a great for lower load, higher speed applications and when faster response time and a smaller profile are needed in the robot’s design. The motor uses tacho feedback for precise control within one degree of accuracy and has a built in rotation sensor.

The digital Ultrasonic Sensor generates sound waves and reads their echoes to detect and measure distance from objects. It can also send single sound waves to work as sonar or listen for a sound wave that triggers the start of a program. Students could design a traffic monitoring system and measure distances between vehicles, for is instance. There is an opportunity to discover how the technology used in everyday items like automatic doors, cars and manufacturing systems.

*Gyro Sensor (1 piece)
The digital Gyro Sensor measures that robot’s rotational motion and changes in its orientation. Students can measure angle create balancing robots and explore the technology that powers a variety of real world tools, navigation systems and game controllers.

*Color Sensor/light sensor (1 piece)
The digital Color Sensor distinguishes between eight different colors. It also serves as a light sensor by detecting light intensities.
Student can build color sorting and line following robots, experiment with light reflection of different colors and gain experience with a technology that is widely used in industries like recycling, agriculture and packaging
– Measures reflected red light and ambient light, from darkness to very bright sunlight.
– Capable of detecting eight colors. It can tell the difference between color or black and white or between blue, green, yellow, red, white and brown.

The analog Touch Sensor is a sample but exceptionally precise tool that detects when its front button is pressed or released and is able to count single and multiple presses. Students can build start/stop control systems, create maze solving robots and uncover the technology’s use in devices as digital musical instruments, computer keyboards and kitchen appliances.

(PERPETUAL)- Used in schools across the globe, to help students and teachers master their robotics skills when the physical robots are not available. In large group settings extracurricular workshops, and offseason training; our simulation program is cost effective and very easy to use.

Purpose: Acquisition of information technology, instructional materials, tools, and equipment for the Elementary Secondary and Senior High Schools in DepEd, Dumageute City Division.


Bids received in excess of the ABC shall be automatically rejected at bid opening.

The City of Dumaguete now invites bids for 12 sets Robotics Technology for acquisition of information technology, instructional materials, tools, and equipment for the Elementary Secondary and Senior High Schools in DepEd, Dumageute City Division.

Bidders should have completed and/or accepted, within 3 years from the date of submission and receipt of bids, a contract similar to the Project. The description of an eligible bidder is contained in the Bidding Documents, particularly Section II, Instruction to Bidders.

Bidding will be conducted through open competitive bidding procedures using non-discretionary pass/fail criteria as specified in the Implementing Rules and Regulations Part A (IRR-A) of Republic Act 9184 (R.A. 9184), otherwise known as the “Government Procurement Reform Act”.

Bidding is restricted to Filipino citizen/sole proprietorships, partnerships, or organizations with at least sixty(60%) interest or outstanding capital stock belonging to citizens of the Philippines, and to citizens or organizations of a country the laws or regulations of which grant similar rights or privileges to Filipino citizens, pursuant to RA 5183 and subject to Commonwealth Act 138.

A complete set of Bidding Documents may be purchase by interested Bidders from December 01, 2020 to December 29, 2020 from address above and upon payment of a nonrefundable fee for the Bidding Documents in the amount of p5,000.00.

The Schedule of activities is as follows:
1. Issuance of Bid Documents December 01, 2020
2. Pre-Bid Conference December 10, 2020, 10:00 A.M.
3. Submission and opening of bids December 29, 2020, 10:00 A.M.

Sealed Bids/Proposals will be received at the Office of General Services, City Hall Compound, Dumaguete City not later than December 29, 2020 and Bid opening shall be on Tuesday, December 29, 2020 at 10:00 (Ten o’clock) in the Morning at the Office on General Services, City Hall Compound, Bids will be opened in the presence of the Bidders or representatives who choose to attend. Late Bids shall not be accepted.

Prospective bidders must not be related to the head of the procuring entity or any member of the Bids and Awards Committee or its Secretariat either by consanguinity or affinity up to the third civil degree.

All Bids shall be accompanied by a Bid Security payable to the City of Dumaguete in any of the acceptable forms and in the amount stated in Sec. 27 of RA 9184. The same shall guarantee that, after receipt of the Notice of Award, the winning bidder shall enter into contract with the City of Dumaguete within ten (10) calendar days.

The Bids and Awards Committee reserves the right to 1) reject any or all bids, 2) waive any defects or informalities therein, 3) or accept any bids/ or offer/s which it may consider to be most advantageous and beneficial to the government 4) to reject all bids at any time prior to contract award, without thereby incurring any liability to the affected bidder or bidders.
