City Chief-of-Police Lt. Col. Mark Gifter Sucalit presents to Mayor Felipe Antonio Remollo the 59 loose firearms that were either surrendered or confiscated since June 10, 2020 up to the present.
Mayor Remollo recognized the efforts of the local police force in its campaign to take custody of undocumented or illegally possessed firearms to make the city safer from crimes and violence.
LT. Col. Sucalit said that 6 firearms were confiscated during police operations while 53 were surrendered through the PNP’s Oplan Katok.
The campaign against loose firearms is aimed at preventing and controlling gun-related violence and crimes in the city.
