City Health Officer Dr. Maria Sarah B. Talla informed Mayor Felipe Antonio Remollo, Chairperson of the City’s Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases, that 13 known close contacts of 4 confirmed COVID-19 cases have been quarantined as Persons Under Monitoring (PUMs).
In contrast, 13 PUMs were released today after they completed the mandatory 14-day quarantine in the different isolation facilities without showing any signs and symptoms of Influenza Like Illness or ILI.
Aside from the 13 known close contacts COVID-19 cases, 9 other PUMS begin their strict and mandatory 14-day quarantine in the designated isolation facilities today.
The 22 new PUMs are: 7 close contacts of a COVID-19 positive case from Calindagan; 1close contact of NEGOR-COV 555; 3 close contacts of a NEGOR-COV 594; 2 close contacts of a COVID-19 case from Valencia; 1 OFW from South Africa; 2 persons with Influenza Like Illness in Barangays Looc and Calindagan; 1 Returning Overseas Filipino Hongkong and 5 Returning Residents from Ilo-ilo City and Cebu City.
Of the 416 PUMS: 215 are in designated hotel facilities; 79 are in the community isolation center and 122 are in the barangay isolation facilities.
