Several government officials led by Mayor Felipe Antonio Remollo and Governor Roel Degamo joined their fellow parishioners in celebrating the 400th Feast of Santa Catalina de Alejandria highlighted with a concelebrated mass presided by Bishop Julito B. Cortes and dozens of priests at the Dumaguete Cathedral this morning.
Councilors Lilani Ramon, Karissa Tolentino-Maxino, Michael Bandal, Manuel Patrimonio and SK Federation President Renz Macion are among the city officials who attended the mass in honor of the city’s patron saint.
Bishop Cortes lauded the parishioners for their firm faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, which has been tested by the COVID-19 pandemic and stressed that we need to keep the Churches open to strengthen our spirituality amid the crisis provided that health protocols are observed.
