Health authorities confirm that NEGOR-COV 596, the 60-year-old resident of Barangay Candau-ay with history of contact to NEGOR-COV 555, has tested positive of COVID-19.
City Health Officer Dr. Maria Sarah B. Talla also informed Mayor Felipe Antonio Remollo, Chairperson of the City’s Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases, that three others have also tested positive of COVID-19 including the wife of the deceased.
The profiles of the 4 additional COVID cases are hereby presented:
1.NEGOR-COV 593 is a 28-year-old female resident of Barangay Taclobo and currently admitted at NOPH
2.NEGOR-COV 594 is a 60-year-old male resident of Barangay Candau-ay, who has since died
3.NEGOR-COV 595 is a 72-year-old resident of Barangay Calindagan and a vegetable vendor in the City Public Market
4.NEGOR-COV 596 is a 60-year-old resident of Barangay Candau-ay and a female hospital staff who is the wife of NEGOR-COV 594
All known contacts of the new COVID-cases are under quarantine while the contact tracing continues.
Mayor Remollo ordered that food packs be delivered to those who are quarantined to provide assistance to the families.
Government employees known to have close contacts with the COVID-19 cases will still receive their wages while on mandatory isolation.
