City Health Officer Dr. Maria Sarah B. Talla confirms 5 additional COVID positive cases in the city and 2 recoveries (the elderly couple) based on the latest batch of swab RT-PCR test results. There are now 9 active cases in the city.
However, 8 individuals tested negative for COVID-19, many of them close contacts of COVID patients.
Specifically, the City’s Inter-Agency Task Force MEID provided the profiles of the new COVID cases and the other 2 who tested negative in repeat swab, to wit:
1. A 61-year-old woman and resident of Barangay Tabuc-tubig, who took care of her husband, an employee of the Provincial Government (with history of travel to Pamplona) while admitted at a private hospital since November 13, 2020
2. NEGOR-COV 537 is a 12-year-old son of NEGOR-COV 448 and resident of Barangay Looc with no history of travel
3. NEGOR-COV 538 is a 28-year-old daughter of NEGOR-COV 448 also a resident of Barangay Looc with no history of travel
4. NEGOR-COV 539 is an 18-year-old female and live-in partner of the son of NEGOR-COV 448 in Barangay Looc with no history of travel
5. NEGOR-COV 545 is a 47-year-old female and a resident of Barangay Junob but who took care of her brother while admitted in a private hospital and accompanied him after discharge back to his home in Dauin town
1. NEGOR-COV 426 a 66-year-old wife of NEGOR-COV 427 and resident of Barangay Buñao
2. NEGOR-COV 427 a 67-year-old husband of NEGOR-COV 426
Eight (8) other individuals who were NEGATIVE in RT-PCR swab tests include 5 family members of NEGOR-COV 448; 2 who were earlier reactive in Antigen tests and a 32-year-old man who was a close contact of a positive case from Bayawan City.
