City Health Officer Dr. Maria Sarah B. Talla disclosed that 4 close contacts of the 3 COVID confirmed cases and 25 other Persons Under Monitoring have been quarantined today.
Specifically, 4 of the new PUMs are close contacts of a COVID Positive Case from Dauin; an office mate of a COVID case from Tanjay City and a health worker exposed to a COVID case who died at a local hospital.
Dr. Talla also informed Mayor Felipe Antonio Remollo, Chairperson of the City’s Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases that 25 other PUMs are quarantined today but are not related to the active COVID cases.
The 25 other PUMs include: 15 Locally Stranded Individuals from Naga City, Zamboanga City, Manila and Cebu City; a nurse from Bacolod City; 2 OFWs UAE and Oman; an employee from Manila; 1 Coast Guard personnel from Manila; 4 shipping employees from Manila and 1 Person Deprived of Liberty newly released from the City Jail.
On the other hand, 20 PUMs completed today the 14-day quarantine without any medical incident, thus cleared to return to their families.
Of the current 328 PUMs: 155 are in designated hotel facilities, 60 are in the community isolation center, while 113 are in the barangay isolation centers.
None of the 328 Persons Under Monitoring (PUMs) seen and examined by the City Health workers manifested symptoms of Influenza Like Illness (ILI) while under quarantine.
