City Health Officer Dr. Maria Sarah B. Talla confirms that no new COVID-19 positive cases were registered in the city and that none of the 297 Persons Under Monitoring or PUMs seen and examined by the City Health workers manifested symptoms of Influenza Like Illness (ILI).
Meanwhile, Dr. Talla informed Mayor Felipe Antonio Remollo, Chairperson of the City’s Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases, that 3 new Persons Under Monitoring begin their strict and mandatory 14-day quarantine in the designated isolation facilities today.
In contrast, 16 PUMs were released today after they completed the mandatory 14-day quarantine without showing any signs and symptoms of ILI.
The 3 new PUMs are a seafarer and 2 BPO employees from Manila.
At present, 179 of the 284 PUMs are men while the remaining 118 are women.
Nineteen (19) of the PUMs are minors (including 5 infants), 21 are senior citizens while 257 are between the ages 18-59 years-old.
Of the 297 PUMS: 156 are in designated hotel facilities; 52 are in the community isolation center and 89 are in the barangay isolation facilities.
