City Health Officer Dr. Maria Sarah B. Talla reports that 22 OFWs, LSIs and others are quarantined beginning today in the different isolation facilities as Persons Under Monitoring or PUMs.
Dr. Talla also informed Mayor Felipe Antonio Remollo, Chairperson of the City’s Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management on Emerging Infectious Diseases, that 5 PUMs completed on Sunday the 14-day quarantine without any medical incident, thus cleared to return to their families.
Of the 22 new PUMs: 10 are OFWs from South Korea, Egypt, Brunei, Japan, Canada, Dubai and Qatar; 4 Locally Stranded Individuals from Cebu, Zamboanga Sibugay and Manila, 1 newly discharged patient from a hospital; 1 intern from Cebu; 1 businessman from Davao City; 1 dietitian from Quezon City; 2 government employees from Cebu City and 2 factory workers from Cebu City.
Meanwhile, of the current 227 PUMs: 132 are in designated hotel facilities, 43 are in the community isolation center, while 52 are in barangay isolation centers.
None of the PUMs seen and examined by the City Health personnel has shown signs and symptoms of ILI.
