City Health Officer Dr. Maria Sarah B. Talla confirms that no new COVID-19 positive cases were registered in the city as of tonight and that two previous COVID-19 cases that were inadvertently added by the Provincial Inter-Agency Task Force to Dumaguete City have been corrected as they were supposed to be listed in the cities where they come from.
Hence, Dr. Maria Sarah B. Talla informed Mayor Felipe Antonio Remollo, Chairperson of the City’s Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases, that since the 2 previous COVID-19 cases will be removed from the records of Dumaguete City, the total number of cases in the city has been reduced from 23 confirmed cases to just 21 cases since February of 2020.
