A 29-year-old individual was the latest COVID-19 case added to Dumaguete City by the Negros Oriental Integrated Provincial Health Office after he tested positive for coronavirus while at a local hospital. He is asymptomatic.
With the addition of NEGOR-COV 372, the City now has 7 active COVID-19 cases. Five (5) of the cases have been re-swabbed for RT-PCR yesterday.
Based on the investigation by the contact tracers, NEGOR-COV 372 helped took care of his partner’s father, who was ill with diabetes, until he was discharged from a local hospital in Dumaguete City and went home to Barangay Tinago Bayawan City last October 18, 2020 on board a V-HIRE.
NEGOR-COV 372 stayed with the family of his live-in partner and went to the Santa Catalina Public Market to buy fish supply to sell at the Bayawan City Public Market on October 19, 2020.
The couple returned to their rented apartment in Barangay Taclobo Dumaguete City in the evening of October 20, 2020 on board a passenger bus.
But on October 22, 2020, NEGOR-COV 372 had to bring his girlfriend to a local hospital for manifesting Influenza Like Illness.
NEGOR-COV 372 had to take care of his sick girlfriend inside the hospital from October 23 to November 3, 2020 and was swabbed together with his girlfriend.
The RT-PCR results confirmed that he was COVID-19 positive but his partner tested negative of the virus.
Since, NEGOR-COV 327 works in a local company, his three close contacts (co-workers) are now quarantined and monitored by the health workers.
