Engineers of the City Government supervise as workers accomplished the pouring of concrete mix to construct the sturdy deck of the bridge near the Bureau of Internal Revenue.
Mayor Felipe Antonio Remollo, who has been closely monitoring the progress of the bridge’s construction, said that the deck will serve as the roadway of the full span concrete bridge near the BIR.
The construction firm utilized concrete mix truck to ensure that the mixture formed is precise and of high quality while reducing noise, pollution and risks to worksite safety.
The bridge near BIR will connect Barangays Batinguel and Bagacay.
Another ongoing infrastructure project is the full span concrete bridge in Colon Street at the back of Foundation University, which like the bridge near BIR is also fully funded by the City Government.
The construction of the two bridges are among the priority projects of Mayor Remollo to decongest traffic, improve the safety of motorists and eliminate the threat of rising floodwater inundating the homes along the banks of Banica River.
