Authorities remind the members of the public that all 7 cemeteries in the city are closed until November 4, 2020.
However, burials are allowed provided that only members of the immediate family of the deceased will be allowed entry to the cemeteries.
Meanwhile, the traditional mass for all the faithful departed has also been cancelled in compliance to the national health protocols against COVID-19.
Mayor Felipe Antonio Remollo, Chairperson of the City Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases, encourages families to offer prayers in remembrance of their loved ones in the safety of their homes.
On November 5 to 7, the Kalag-Kalag passes will be imposed again at the gates for those who still want to visit the graves of their loved ones.
These passes can be obtained from the barangay halls to ensure orderly distribution and prevent mass gatherings.
