City Health Officer Dr. Maria Sarah B. Talla reports that 28 Persons Under Monitoring (PUMs) were released today after completing the mandatory 14-day quarantine period in the different isolation facilities without showing any signs and symptoms of Influenza Like Illness or ILI.
Mayor Felipe Antonio Remollo, Chairperson of the City’s Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases, approved their release upon the recommendation of City Health Officer Dr. Ma. Sarah B. Talla so they could return back to their respective families.
Meanwhile, 23 new PUMs were quarantined today: 4 OFWs from Oman, Dubai, Korea and Qatar; 14 Locally Stranded Individuals from Cebu City, Leyte and Manila and 5 Telecom employees from Cebu.
Of the 370 PUMs: 142 are in designated hotel facilities; 75 are in the community isolation center and 153 are in barangay isolation centers.
None of the PUMs seen and examined by the health workers have shown symptoms of Influenza Like Illness or ILI.
