City Health Officer Dr. Maria Sarah B. Talla said that the 44-year-old female administrative staff (not a frontliner or a health worker), who tested positive for COVID-19, has been quarantined and monitored by health workers since last week or for the last 8 days now prior to the release of the swab result.
The City Health Office remains open, except the particular section where she is assigned. Her office space has been disinfected and cordoned. All her officemates have also been identified and quarantined.
Dr. Talla said that the health condition of the COVID Positive case, who had no history of travel, is improving. The members of her household are under quarantine and contact tracing is in progress.
