City Health Officer Dr. Maria Sarah B. Talla disclosed that 13 close contacts of the of 3 additional COVID cases have been quarantined and shall be subject to swab tests.
Ten (10) of the new Persons Under Monitoring or PUMs are close contacts of the clients of NEG-OR COVID Case 191; 2 are close contacts of the massage therapist and 1 is a close contact of the wife of NEG-OR COVID Case 199.
Dr. Talla also informed Mayor Felipe Antonio Remollo, Chairperson of the City’s Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases, that 6 other PUMs are quarantined today but are not related to the active COVID cases.
The Office of Mayor Remollo sent food packs to the quarantined households while the City Health Office has also provided multi-vitamins and appropriate medicine to the PUMs.
The 6 other PUMs include: 5 Locally Stranded Individuals from Manila and Kabankalan and 1 newly discharged patient from a local hospital.
On the other hand, 5 PUMs completed today the 14-day quarantine without any medical incident, thus cleared to return to their families.
Finally, of the current 356 PUMs: 128 are in designated hotel facilities, 82 are in the community isolation center, while 146 are in the barangay isolation centers.
