Of the 245 Persons Under Monitoring (PUMs) seen and examined by the City Health workers, only 1 has manifested symptoms of Influenza Like Illness (ILI).
City Health Officer Dr. Maria Sarah B. Talla informed Mayor Felipe Antonio Remollo, Chairperson of the City’s Inter-Agency Task Force on Emerging Infectious Diseases, that 15 individuals are quarantined beginning today as PUMs in the different isolation facilities.
The ILI case is a 44 year-old female who has fever, body malaise, and cough. She also reported to have loss her sense of smell and taste.
The 14 other PUMs include: 6 are OFWs from Saudi Arabia, Saipan, Hongkong, Canada, UAE and Dubai; 2 Locally Stranded Individuals from Bohol and Cebu; 1 Engineer from Leyte and a businessman with 4 family members from Makati City.
Meanwhile, 2 PUMs completed today the 14-day quarantine without any medical incident, thus cleared to return to their families.
Finally, of the current 245 PUMs: 122 are in designated hotel facilities, 60 are in the community isolation center, while 63 are in the barangay isolation centers.
