City Health Officer Dr. Maria Sarah B. Talla reports that 21 individuals are quarantined beginning today as Persons Under Monitoring or PUMs in the different isolation facilities.
Dr. Talla also informed Mayor Felipe Antonio Remollo, Chairperson of the City’s Inter-Agency Task Force on Emerging Infectious Diseases, that 37 PUMs completed today the 14-day quarantine without any medical incident, thus cleared to return to their families.
Of the 21 new PUMs: 2 are OFWs from Dubai and Saudi Arabia; 3 Locally Stranded Individuals from Paranaque City and Manila; 1 Returning Overseas Filipino from Italy; 1 newly discharged patient from a local hospital; 5 private employees from Occidental Mindoro, Cebu City and Quezon City; 1 foreigner with her Filipino wife from Germany; 2 government employees from Cebu City and Liloan, Cebu; 1 foreman from Leyte; 1 Telecom employee from San Jose, Antique; a cancer patient with his wife from Cebu City and 1 teacher from Dipolog City.
Meanwhile, of the current 234 PUMs: 122 are in designated hotel facilities, 45 are in the community isolation center, while 67 are in barangay isolation centers.
None of the PUMs seen and examined have shown signs and symptoms of ILI.
