Of the 243 Persons Under Monitoring (PUMs) seen and examined by the City Health workers, only 1 has manifested symptoms of Influenza Like Illness (ILI).
City Health Officer Dr. Maria Sarah B. Talla informed Mayor Felipe Antonio Remollo, Chairperson of the City’s Inter-Agency Task Force on Emerging Infectious Diseases, that 19 individuals are quarantined beginning today as PUMs in the different isolation facilities.
The ILI case has fever, cough, body malaise and itchy throat and has taken the RT-PCR swab test yesterday.
The 18 other PUMs include: 4 are OFWs from Africa, China, UAE and New York USA; 10 Locally Stranded Individuals from Manila and Cebu City; 2 government employees from Cebu City and 1 newly discharged patient from a local hospital.
Meanwhile, 3 PUMs completed today the 14-day quarantine without any medical incident, thus cleared to return to their families.
Finally, of the current 243 PUMs: 112 are in designated hotel facilities, 58 are in the community isolation center, while 73 are in the barangay isolation centers.
