City Health Officer Dr. Maria Sara B. Talla informed Mayor Felipe Antonio Remollo, Chairperson of the City’s Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases, that 11 new Persons Under Monitoring started their quarantine today.
Seven (7) of the new PUMs are OFWs from Kuwait, China, Lebanon, Brazil, Qatar and Japan.
The remaining 4 other PUMs include: 1 Telecom employee from Quezon City; 1 Returning Overseas Filipino from USA, 1 Locally Stranded Individual from Makati City and 1 nurse from Quezon Province.
Meanwhile, 9 PUMs were released today after they completed the mandatory 14-day quarantine in the different isolation facilities without showing signs of Influenza Like Illness or ILI.
Of the 218 PUMS: 113 are quarantined in designated hotel facilities, 45 are in the community isolation center and 60 are in the barangay isolation facilities.
None of the PUMs seen and examined by the City Health workers manifested symptoms of Influenza Like Illness (ILI).
