City Veterinarian Dr. Lourdes Socorro confirms that the free anti-rabies vaccination, deworming and anti-tick or flea injection for cats and dogs will continue on Monday and Tuesday (October 5 & 6) on a first come, first serve basis.
Mayor Felipe Antonio Remollo encourages pet owners to avail of this program, which is in line with the World Rabies Day celebration to promote responsible pet ownership.
Those interested are directed to bring their pets to the City Veterinary Office situated at the 2nd Floor of Building II Public Market Complex to avail of the free clinic services.
Dr. Socorro also said that surgeries for spaying and neutering ended last week with the supplies already exhausted as more than 350 dogs and cats availed of the procedure that required surgeries.
About 1, 000 dogs and cats were given free anti-rabies vaccine also last week to highlight the observance of the World Rabies Day last September 28.
Dr. Socorro also expressed gratitude to the Philippine Veterinary Medical Association, PILMICO and Provincial Veterinary Office for helping boost the supplies and vaccine of the City Veterinary Office to maximize the services of the free clinic
