Mayor Felipe Antonio Remollo has signed Executive Order No. 21 placing Dumaguete City under curfew from 10:00 PM until 5:00AM the following day during the COVID-19 outbreak.
The curfew shall cover all individuals, unless otherwise exempted as provided under Ordinance No. 25 Series of 2020.
Unless exempted, it shall be unlawful for any person to loiter, wander, stroll or stay outside their residences during curfew effective beginning September 30, 2020 and shall remain in full force until further notice.
Among those exempted are: people whose job necessitates or requires them to work at night (i.e. call center agents); health workers who are on duty; on duty PNP, military and any other personnel in charge of peace and order; emergency response units and other first responders who are responding to emergencies; individuals who are under or are performing medical care and emergencies or doing humanitarian work; any government employees and barangay personnel while in the performance of their duties and responsibilities; and persons identified by the Local Chief Executive and the President.
Previously, the curfew is from 9:00 PM – 5:00 AM.
