From 247 Persons Under Monitoring yesterday, the number PUMs has gone down to 222 as 43 Persons Under Monitoring (PUMs) were released today after completing the mandatory 14-day quarantine period in the different isolation facilities without showing any signs and symptoms of Influenza Like Illness or ILI.
Mayor Felipe Antonio Remollo, Chairperson of the City’s Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases, approved their release upon the recommendation of City Health Officer Dr. Ma. Sarah B. Talla so they could return back to their respective families.
Meanwhile, 18 new PUMs were quarantined today: 2 OFWs from Kenya and Qatar; 3 students from Oroquieta City and Cebu City; 1 pastor from Cebu City; 9 Locally Stranded Individuals from Parañaque City and Cebu City; 1 Returning Overseas Filipino from UAE; 1 seafarer with a history of travel to Cebu City and 1 newly acquitted Person Deprived of Liberty who was released from City Jail.
Of the 222 PUMs: 94 are in designated hotel facilities; 67 are in the community isolation center and 61 are in barangay isolation centers.
None of the PUMs seen and examined by the health workers have shown symptoms of Influenza Like Illness or ILI.
