9 LSIS FROM CEBU, 7 OTHERS QUARANTINE TODAY
The City’s Inter-Agency Task Force on Emerging Infectious Diseases reports today that none of the 247 Persons Under Monitoring (PUMs) seen and examined by the City Health workers manifested symptoms of Influenza Like Illness (ILI).
City Health Officer Dr. Maria Sara B. Talla informed Mayor Felipe Antonio Remollo, Chairperson of the City’s Inter-Agency Task Force on Emerging Infectious Diseases, that eleven (11) PUMs were released today after they completed the mandatory 14-day quarantine in the different isolation facilities without showing any signs and symptoms of ILI.
In contrast, sixteen (16) new PUMS begin their strict and mandatory 14-day quarantine in the designated isolation facilities today.
The 16 new PUMs are: 6 OFWs from Brazil, Canada, Japan, Singapore, Turkey and China; 9 Locally Stranded Individuals from Cebu City and 1 nurse from Lanao Del Norte.
Finally, of the 247 PUMS: 109 are in designated hotel facilities; 74 are in the community isolation center and 60 are in the barangay isolation facilities.
