PUMS DOWN TO 249 AS 49 WERE RELEASED FROM QUARANTINE
From 279 Persons Under Monitoring yesterday, the number PUMs has gone down to 249 as forty-nine (49) PUMS were released today after completing the mandatory 14-day quarantine period in the different isolation facilities without showing any signs and symptoms of Influenza Like Illness or ILI.
Mayor Felipe Antonio Remollo, Chairperson of the City’s Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases, approved their release upon the recommendation of City Health Officer Dr. Ma. Sarah B. Talla so they could return back to their respective families.
However, 18 new PUMs arrived and were quarantined today.
They include: 15 Locally Stranded Individuals or LSI from Manila, Cavite and Cebu City; 3 OFWs from USA, Japan and Turkey; 1 newly discharged from a local hospital with a history of travel to Siquijor and 1 Jail Officer.
Of the 249 PUMs: 98 are in designated hotel facilities; 77 are in the community isolation center and 74 are in barangay isolation centers.
None of the PUMs seen and examined by the health workers have shown symptoms of Influenza Like Illness or ILI.
