Twelve (12) Locally Stranded Individuals are quarantined beginning today along with 276 other Persons Under Monitoring or PUMs in the different isolation facilities.
City Health Officer Dr. Maria Sarah B. Talla reports to Mayor Felipe Antonio Remollo, Chairperson of the City’s Inter-Agency Task Force on Emerging Infectious Diseases, that 9 PUMs completed today the 14-day quarantine without any medical incident, thus cleared to return to their families.
The 12 new PUMs, who were quarantined today include: 6 Locally Stranded Individuals from Bulacan, Zamboanga and Manila; 3 OFWs Norway, Turkey and Dubai; 1 nurse from North Cotabato and 2 private employees from Mandaue City.
Meanwhile, of the current 288 PUMs: 133 are in designated hotel facilities, 71 are in the community isolation center, while 84 are in barangay isolation centers.
None of the PUMs seen and examined by the City Health workers manifested symptoms of Influenza Like Illness (ILI).
